Rubbish removal jobs near you

Householders and businesses post their jobs on scrapmarket: a sofa, a garden clearance, a house clearance, a van load of rubble. Each one has photos, the load size and how easy it is to reach, so you know what you’re quoting for.

You set your price. If the customer picks your quote, you collect, take the waste to a licensed site and upload the ticket. We pay you once we’ve checked it.

What you need

  • An upper-tier waste carrier registration with the Environment Agency that includes carrying waste. Check yours.
  • Public liability insurance, with a current certificate.
  • Photo ID, so we can verify who you are.
  • A Stripe account for your payouts. You set it up as you join.

We check everything before your account is approved. Most applications are reviewed within one or two working days.

What it costs

Nothing to join and nothing up front. When a job is completed we keep 15% of the price you agreed, with a minimum of £4.99, and you receive the rest. If a job doesn’t go ahead, there’s no fee. You see the fee on your price as you type a quote.

Where the jobs are

Jobs can come from anywhere in England. When you join, you set your base postcode and how far you’ll travel, and you see the jobs posted in that area.

Questions

How do I find jobs?
Once you’re approved, browse the jobs posted near you in England and send a quote on the ones you want. Each listing shows photos, what’s there, the load size and how easy it is to reach. The customer picks the quote they want.
When do I get paid?
After the customer confirms the collection and their card is charged, and you’ve filed where the waste went. We review the disposal details, then release your money to your Stripe payout account, and Stripe pays it into your bank.
What paperwork do I need to do?
When you collect, record the weight, how the waste is contained, the time, your vehicle registration and the site you’re taking it to: its name, permit or exemption number and address. The customer confirms it, and that issues the waste transfer note, kept in both your accounts. After you’ve tipped, confirm the site and upload a photo or ticket as proof. If it went somewhere else, say why and we issue a revised note.
What if the job is bigger than described?
Before you mark it collected, propose a new price on the job page. The customer accepts or declines it; if they decline, the agreed price stands and you can talk it through with them by message.
