Office clearance
Moving out, downsizing or refitting? Post the job with photos and licensed local collectors will quote to clear it.
Your business is named on the waste transfer note, and you pay once it’s done.
Your duty of care as a business
A business must make sure its waste only goes to someone allowed to take it, such as a registered waste carrier. Each load needs a waste transfer note, and you must keep it for two years.
On scrapmarket that’s handled. Choose “It’s from a business” when you post and tell us what the business does: the note is made in your business’s name and kept in your account.
What collectors take
- Desks, tables, filing cabinets and shelving
- Office chairs. Upholstered ones fall under the POPs rules, like a sofa, so list them as upholstered seating.
- Shop fittings, partitions and cardboard
- Computers and small electricals, but not TVs or monitors
- Scrap metal
What we can’t take
TVs and monitors, fridges and freezers, fluorescent tubes, chemicals, oils and clinical waste. Nothing that needs a hazardous waste consignment note: those records are kept for three years and need a specialist carrier.
Planning the day
Add access notes when you post: the floor, lifts, loading bays, parking and any times the building restricts. Collectors can ask you questions by message before they quote, and you agree the day with the one you choose.
Checked for you
The law makes you responsible for who takes your waste. On scrapmarket, that’s handled. Every collector’s licence, insurance and ID are checked before they can quote, and the licence again every night. They’re paid only once we’ve seen proof your waste reached a licensed site, and you get a waste transfer note on every job. How we check every collector.
