Coventry sits on the River Sherbourne, and Leofric, Earl of Mercia, and his wife Lady Godiva founded a monastery here in 1043. She's still remembered for the legend of her ride through the streets. Later the city became a maker of things: bicycles in the 19th century, then cars in the 20th. It was rebuilt after the Second World War, and in 2021 it was the UK City of Culture.
Clocking off the clutter
A terraced house in Chapelfields, where Coventry's watchmakers once worked, or a back room in Earlsdon that's slowly become a store: post the job for free, and licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes. You pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.
