Builders’ waste removal
Finished the job and left with rubble, timber and old units? Post photos and licensed local collectors will quote to load it and take it away.
No skip on the drive and no permit. You pay once it’s gone.
Skip or a collector?
A skip suits a long job, where waste builds up over days. It needs space, and if it goes on the road the council must give permission first. The skip firm usually applies.
A collector comes once, loads it and goes. You don’t need room for a skip or a permit, and nothing sits on the drive for a week. Skip or a collector?
What collectors take
- Rubble, bricks, hardcore and soil, not contaminated with oil, tar or chemicals
- Timber, doors and old flooring
- Kitchen and bathroom units, worktops, baths and basins
- Tiles, pallets and scrap metal
Plasterboard and asbestos
We can’t take plasterboard. It has to be kept apart from general waste going to landfill, so it needs its own route. Many council recycling centres take small amounts, and some skip firms offer separate plasterboard bags. Check with your council first.
We never take asbestos. If you think something might contain it, don’t break it up. Ask your council how to get rid of it safely.
Trade customers
If the waste comes from your business, choose “It’s from a business” when you post and tell us what the business does. Your business is named on the waste transfer note. Keep it for two years.
Checked for you
The law makes you responsible for who takes your waste. On scrapmarket, that’s handled. Every collector’s licence, insurance and ID are checked before they can quote, and the licence again every night. They’re paid only once we’ve seen proof your waste reached a licensed site, and you get a waste transfer note on every job. How we check every collector.
