20% of what we earn goes to good causes
On every job, 20% of what we earn goes to charities, community groups and local projects. We try to give close to the places we collect from.
It comes out of our share, so your price stays the same and your collector’s pay doesn’t change.
Where it goes
Good causes come in all shapes, and they don’t need to have anything to do with rubbish. Think of the food bank round the corner, the under-11s football team that needs new kit, the community garden someone has looked after for years, the repair café, the local hospice, the animal rescue that’s always full. That’s the kind of thing we want to back.
We look for groups with real roots in the places we work: run by local people, for local people, where our money will actually be noticed rather than disappear into a big budget.
Every quarter, we look at where our jobs have come from and at what people there have suggested, and we decide where the money goes. We read every suggestion, even when we can’t say yes. And once a year, we’ll show you exactly how much we gave, and to whom.
Know a good cause near you?
Tell us about it. It takes a minute, and anyone can suggest one.
