Taunton takes its name from the River Tone, and it has been Somerset's county town since about 1366. The Normans built its castle in the 12th century, and in the Middle Ages the town made a woollen cloth known simply as Tauntons. It sits in the Vale of Taunton, with the Quantock, Blackdown and Brendon hills all around.

Tidy as a Somerset orchard

Whether it's a garden shed in Bishop's Hull, a garage in Comeytrowe or a flat in the middle of town, getting it cleared starts with a free post. Licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes. You pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.

Rooted in the Vale
