Local folklore says Grimsby takes its name from Grim, a Danish fisherman, and the sea has shaped the town ever since. It sits near the mouth of the Humber, and by the mid-20th century it was home port to the world's largest fishing fleet. The Fishing Heritage Centre tells that story today, and Grimsby runs straight into Cleethorpes to the south-east.

Hooked on a clear-out

Whether it's a family house in Weelsby that's due a sort-out or a loft in Nunsthorpe with no room left, post the job for free. Licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes, you pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.
