Nottingham's written history starts in 919, and William the Conqueror built a castle on the rock above the town. The old Saxon settlement became the Lace Market, and the city grew on lace, bicycles and tobacco before Queen Victoria gave it city status in 1897. Underneath it all are hundreds of man-made sandstone caves, some in use for over a thousand years.

Above the caves, below the castle

Emptying a student house in Lenton once the year's done, or a flat in a converted Victorian villa on the Park Estate? Post the job for free and licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes. You pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.
