Crewe owes its existence to its railway station, which opened in 1837 on the Grand Junction Railway. The railway company built its locomotive works next door and much of the early town itself in the 1840s and 1850s, and Crewe is still best known as a big railway junction. Bentley cars are made at the Pyms Lane factory, and Queen's Park was laid out by the railway engineer Francis Webb.

All change for the spare room

Plenty of Crewe's older streets were built by the railway company itself, and a house that's seen a few generations can hold a lot. Post the job for free and licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes. You pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.
