By the Middle Ages, Warrington was a market town at the lowest point where the River Mersey could be bridged. The Industrial Revolution made it a manufacturing town of wire, textiles, brewing, tanning and chemicals, and its rugby league side were long nicknamed "The Wire". In 1968 it became a new town, and the borough's population has since more than doubled.

Down to the wire

From a garage in Penketh to a box room in Birchwood or a shed in Padgate, the start is the same: posting the job is free, and licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes. You pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.
