Stafford began in 913, when Æthelflæd, Lady of the Mercians, founded a fortified burh on a near-island in the River Sow. It grew into a market town and later a shoemaking one, with a shoemakers' guild as early as 1476. The Ancient High House, built in 1595, is believed to be the largest timber-framed town house in England, and Cannock Chase is close by.

Shoe-town boxes, finally emptied

Think of the spare room in Wildwood, the loft in Holmcroft or the shed in Highfields you keep meaning to tackle. Post it for free, and licensed, insured local carriers send you quotes. You pay once your waste has been collected, and every job comes with a waste transfer note, kept in your account.
